A bit more about Birdie
For this painting and also Love on a cloud, I wanted to create paintings that looks like those glittery stickers I used to collect!
For the subject, Birdie, she was inspired by the budgie we used to have when I was a kid. Somehow, I decided to paint her in different colors than our bird was, the acid lime and neon yellow were more inspiring colors to me that day it seems!
I loved Cocotte (that was her name) very much, even tho she had that habit of being very loud in the background when we were on the phone, she brought us much joy and life in the house!
