A bit about this piece
The idea came to me at first when my nail client/friend went to Japan and gifted me some of the cutest little charms from her trip. There was jellybean charms, candy, flower, cute kawaii animals and she even picked a cat charm that looked like Harry 🥹💕
I am too spoiled 🥹 little attentions like this is something that i cherish a lot, my house is filled with memories that i collect and that friends gift to me when they see something that is very “me”.
I wanted to find a way to permanently display these beautiful charms instead of keeping them in a drawer.
Early in my nail artist career, from 2009 when i lived in Montreal i worked @candynailbar and i remember @tamaradilullo had these super cool chunky phone cases with “icing” and charms for sale at the salon!
I guess we are now back full circle, because i inspired of this idea to preserve the nail charms and make a wall art “silicone cake” piece!
These are not the same charms i was gifted, but recreated my original idea, with cat themed spring cake party, Harry’s birthday was 21st of march, he would have turned 20 years old, and at his 18th birthday i made a little mini golden birthday hat for him, like i knew deep inside there was probably not much time left 🥹❤️ He lived almost to be 19 years old, which is 92 years old in cat years i think! He truly was my best friend, and here’s a cute kawaii cake that will last forever.
