This idea for my art exhibition “For the love of cats” came to me as i wanted to combine both of my passions — by making a piece of nail art that is permanent.
You can see this exact piece at my ongoing exhibition at @slippbarinn art room, until the 17th April. It is available for sale and 15% of sales during this exhibition of paintings and prints will be donated to the cat shelter @kattholtskisur
Many people enjoy the look and craftsmanship that goes into extreme nails and nail art, but would not wear it on themselves for various reasons understandably, but appreciate them as an art form.
Here is best of both worlds, you get to keep a permanent piece of nail art, and decorate your space, and it is for sure a conversation starter!
I will eventually explore this concept more, offering different types of framed nail art pieces like these.
I had custom made professionally a deep frame fitting those nails. In the future, i will have custom ones made fitting different designs thickness, so i will only release very few of them at the time and each will be one of a kind.
