🌴☀️“Vacation 4ever” A peek into my creative process

This painting was born at the start of my summer vacation in 2021. It’s a reflection of my love for vibrant colors and tropical vibes. Inspired by the color pallette of 90’s school supplies.

I though my summer vacation was the perfect timing to start a new big painting! I wanted to channel something energetic, summery, tropical and playful.

I remember very well being intimidated to paint on such a big canvas (120x80 cm). You’d maybe think, “it’s not that big”, but with my nail artist background, where the canvas size is as big as a nail, well yeah. There was suddenly a lot of space to fill!

To whoever will get their hands on this painting some day, know that it is my personal favorite. I love all my “babies” but some of them are extra special to me, especially this one. I dream to live somewhere tropical someday, so maybe it is a glimpse of the future i am manifesting? Who knows! 🤷‍♀️ Time will tell!

My hope is that this painting brings a burst of summer joy to your day, even on the gloomiest of days as much as it did for me!
